Jolly Balance
Double balance for determining the dependence of gravity on the elevation above the Earth’s surface, Philipp von Jolly, around 1880

The weight of a body decreases with its distance from the Earth. Jolly confirmes this law by weighing two bodies with masses of 5 kg at different elevations. A difference of 21 m in elevation results in a weight difference of 32 mg.
