Ioffe-Pritchard Trap

In contrast to the electrical capture of ions in both Paul and ring traps, confinement of neutral atoms, as for the Bose-Einstein condensation, is mostly achieved via external magnetic fields. They use the weakly outwards penetrating remainder of the field between electron hull and atomic nucleus in order to exert a pressure inwards, directed to the center of the trap.
